Product Designer

About me

Hi, I’m Nicklas — a Product Designer from Helsingør, Denmark, with a background in Medialogy from Aalborg University. My journey into design started early, messing around in Photoshop and making random design concepts for friends and classmates. What began as a creative outlet slowly turned into something more serious — and eventually, a career.

Since then, I’ve worked across a range of digital products, always aiming to make complex things feel simple and useful. Along the way, I’ve deepened my skills through courses in UX research, accessibility, typography, and design systems — all helping me bridge the gap between user needs and business goals.

These days, I’m focused on building intuitive, user-centered experiences, whether it’s designing wireflows, refining UI patterns, or collaborating closely with developers and product teams. I care deeply about clarity, consistency, and creating digital tools that feel just right to use.

2023 - Current

UX/UI Designer @ FutureLink Solutions

I’m currently leading the design of Batchflow, our accounting automation platform. I focus on building a scalable design system in Figma to keep the experience consistent and intuitive. Through wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, I iterate based on user feedback and research. I collaborate closely with developers and our CTO to align design decisions with both user needs and business goals.

2021 -> 2023

UX/UI Designer @ Sign in Solutions

I led the redesign of Sign In Workspace, a mobile-first desk booking and office management platform. I worked closely with developers, stakeholders, and our Product Owner to rethink the entire experience — from interactive office maps and check-ins to admin tools for managing users and spaces. Using Figma, I built wireframes, prototypes, and design systems that helped streamline collaboration and ensure a smooth handoff to development.

2019 → 2021

UX/UI Designer @ TF-Technologies

I led the redesign of MatWiser, a web-based platform for analyzing live data from pavement machines. Working alongside a small team of developers and a Product Owner, I helped transform raw field data into clear, actionable insights for management. I created responsive wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and a streamlined UI in Figma — making it easier for users to track performance and make informed decisions in real time.

2018 → 2018

UX Designer @ CubeIO

At CubeIO (a TDC subsidiary), I worked as a UX Designer on a 6-month project designing a visual voicemail app for Android and iOS. Collaborating with a senior UX designer and an interaction designer, I supported the team by contributing to wireflows, assisting with user research, and helping conduct heuristic audits of the existing app. The work focused on improving usability and shaping a more intuitive experience for mobile users.

2017 → 2018

UX/UI Designer @ Lokalebasen

At Lokalebasen, I began my UX/UI career as part of a small in-house design team focused on improving the usability of a website for renting office spaces. I collaborated closely with marketing and our SEO specialist to ensure the site met both user needs and business goals. My work involved refining user flows, supporting design updates, and helping maintain a smooth experience for people searching for workspaces.
